A24 Blankenburg
Completed in December 2024 after six years of construction, the 4.2-kilometre stretch of the A24 connects the A20 near Vlaardingen with the A15 near Rozenburg and is intended to improve the general traffic situation in the Rotterdam region. On the stretch A24 Blankenburg route also includes two tunnel sections - the Maas Delta Tunnel and the Holland Tunnel.
The tunnels consist of two separate tubes, each with two lanes. In addition to the tunnel, new junctions and flyovers have also been built to enable connections to the A15 and A20 motorways.
The tolls are paid using the free-flow system. The vehicle licence plate number is photographed when entering the tunnel. As there are no longer any regular toll stations, the toll incurred must be paid online by credit card within 72 hours of travelling
